Chapter 4 - The First Visitors

Prev  |  TOC  |  Next Over 20 hours of minor earthquakes and atmospheric rumbling. Signs of a new dungeon’s birth. Immediate investigation requested. This was written on a request notice posted at an adventurer’s inn, “Corner Inn,” in the Ohadano Region, east of the Kingdom of Sepans. In the Kingdom of Sepans, the only dungeon that had existed for nearly 140 years was the “No-Hunger Dungeon,” which had eight layers. It didn’t drop particularly valuable treasures, but since monsters occasionally dropped food, it was quite popular as a dungeon where adventurers could stay for long periods. Honestly, in terms of profit, it wasn’t a great dungeon. Still, staying in its eight layers for a long time could yield considerable earnings and serve as good training. In fact, the Kingdom of Sepans even had a rank promotion exam for adventurers that required staying in this dungeon’s eighth layer for a week. However, being a mid-level dungeon, it wasn’t particularly welcomed by hi...

Chapter 3 - Dungeon Design

Prev  |  TOC  |  Next Alright, let’s get started by checking what I can do... “Status Open!” A status window-like interface spreads out before my eyes. I can see my current points, the size of the dungeon I can create, and various other details. ...Whoa?! I was half-joking, but a status window actually appeared. This is straight out of an isekai template... The controls are... huh, exactly like a smartphone... It’s almost no different from a game... I start tapping away, reading through the dungeon creation steps. The available points are 5,405. After checking the size of the dungeon I can create with this, it seems I can make a dungeon about the size of a large park. The points required for things like hot springs and enemy placement... hmm, hmm... As I fiddle with the window, checking various things, Core-chan is staring at me with wide eyes, looking utterly shocked. “Huh? Wha... wha-wha-wha-what is that?????” Huh...? Did I just do something crazy? I didn’t expect ...

Chapter 2 - The Dungeon Core

Prev  |  TOC  |  Next I am a Dungeon Core. I have no name. A Dungeon Core is just a Dungeon Core. I am the embodiment of the dungeon’s will, created to determine its structure. The dungeon I created myself is one where defeating the monsters inside yields gold, treasures, and occasionally food. Humans have even nicknamed it the “No-Hunger Dungeon.” Food drops. This feature became quite popular, as dungeons that improve food supplies tend to keep adventurers staying for a long time. The longer adventurers stay and fight in my dungeon, the more Dungeon Points I accumulate. Because of this, I’ve been able to earn more Dungeon Points compared to other dungeons that only drop gold and treasures. But that’s all. Once the dungeon expanded to about eight layers, the profits and maintenance costs plateaued. For the past 40 years, my dungeon hasn’t grown at all. If I forced it to grow further, the maintenance costs would undoubtedly outweigh the gains... So, even if I want to ...

Chapter 127 - A Brother’s Dignity

Prev  |  TOC  |  Next At the back of the mansion, there was an open area like a small square. There was no grass, and the ground was fairly hard. It wasn’t designated for any specific purpose but was used when many carriages needed to be parked at the mansion, for horse training, or for personal training. In the center stood Volf and Jonas, facing each other. Guido sat on a simple chair some distance away. Behind him stood a mage in black robes. “Let’s begin.” After a brief bow, Jonas raised his practice sword and stepped forward. His movements lacked any sense of tension, and Volf, still gauging the situation, raised his sword as well. But the moment their swords clashed, Jonas’s right hand slid diagonally downward, and his blade coiled around Volf’s like a snake. Volf tried to flick it away, but the heavy entanglement wouldn’t budge. As he instinctively pulled his hand back from the creeping dull silver, his sword was effortlessly disarmed and fell to the ground. “...
